Children are naturally curious. Some of these eight are examining and comparing little trophies, perhaps recently found or purchased them while visiting the Santa Barbara Zoo. Others are curious about what is going on. They were all sitting or standing on the parking bumpers outside the Zoo, waiting to be loaded into their transportation to go home. I was fortunate to be able to capture them in a series of photographs, from which I developed this studio painting.
